L.A Writes is an online content creation company that provides writing services. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of the company’s services and website.
These Terms have been in effect since September 2024 and L.A Writes reserves the right to modify them at any time without providing notice to those who visit or use this website.
It is recommended for users to regularly check this page for any updates to our terms. These terms also include our privacy policy, which is available to all users of this website.
By using our website and services as a “User” or “Buyer” (definitions below), you agree to be bound by these Terms outlined below. If you do not agree to these Terms, it is your right to discontinue using this website.

DEFINITIONS
The following terms will be used throughout this Terms and Conditions:
“Writing Services” – All services offered by L.A Writes.

“Buyer” or “Client” – Any individual or entity that purchases services from L.A Writes.
“Website” – The domain and subdomains of lawrites.com
“User” – An individual who utilizes the website for their own personal use or on behalf of a company or organization they represent.
“Project” – request submitted to L.A Writes by a buyer to produce writing and/or graphic design content.
“Intellectual Property Rights” – All current and future patents, copyrights, mask work rights, moral rights, rights of publicity, trademark, trade dress, service mark rights, goodwill, trade secret rights, and other intellectual property rights established by laws in any state, country, territory, or jurisdiction, as well as all related applications, registrations, renewals, and extensions.

PURPOSE OF lawrites.com
L.A Writes offers this website as a platform for individuals and organizations, referred to as “Buyers or Clients,” to acquire writing services. For those designated as “Buyers or Clients,” this website serves as a tool to place orders for writing services, initiate project requests including revisions and edits, and make payment for the writing services they acquire.

CONTENT REVISIONS
Buyers are given the opportunity to make two requested modifications to their written content provided by L.A Writes. These adjustments are for slight modifications and don’t encompass rewriting content that were not originally requested.
These modifications must be requested within five (5) – ten (10) business days after receiving the finished project from L.A Writes.
Providing that no requests for revisions are made within a 5-10 business-day period, the project will be considered finished. However, if requests are made after this period, L.A Writes reserves the right to complete the revisions for a custom rate per words modification.

DATA SECURITY
The completion timeline for all writing services purchased will be within 7-15 business days, based on the word count and complexity, from the time payment is confirmed. On occasion, the deadlines for completing written content may have to be lengthened or shortened, and both parties will agree on the revised timeline on a case-by-case basis.

PRICE CLARITY
L.A Writes displays prices on our website under the heading “services” and provides a comprehensive and final quote to each buyer or client prior to making their purchase. While L.A Writes has the discretion to alter the prices, buyers will have visibility to any changes and have the option to choose whether to utilize our services or not.

PAYMENT AGREEMENT
By ordering and purchasing writing services from L.A Writes, you agree to promptly pay for them. Should payment not be made for any reason, you acknowledge the obligation to immediately make payment upon receiving a request from L.A Writes. In the event of late payment, you agree to cover any associated legal fees, interest charges, or other costs in addition to the original amount owed. Late payment may also result in L.A Writes informing credit reporting agencies, financial institutions, tax agencies, and law enforcement authorities.

PAYMENT CURRENCY
All services provided by L.A Writes are priced in U.S. dollars. L.A Writes cannot be held accountable for any fluctuations in currency that may occur when a buyer uses a different currency for payment. Please note that it may take up to eight days for your bank to clear the payment made to L.A Writes, which may include holding additional funds for coverage. L.A Writes is not responsible for any actions taken by the buyer’s bank or credit card company in this regard.

PAYMENTS ARE FINAL
Once authorized, payments made by a buyer for writing services through our payment methods are considered final.
Payments can be made using Visa/Mastercard via Wipay, Paypal or bank transfer and are required to be made in full upfront. If changes are made to an order after payment has been made (such as a decrease in the number of words requested), the difference can be used towards future orders.
Although we do not offer refunds or have a formal refund policy, we may consider refunds in exceptional cases at our discretion. You agree that this is entirely up to L.A Writes’ discretion.

PAYMENT ERRORS and CHARGEBACK FEES
L.A Writes retains the right to seek reimbursement from you in the event that any erroneous or duplicate transactions are found, or if a chargeback is received from a buyer’s credit card company or bank. You agree to reimburse L.A Writes if such transactions or chargebacks are found.
By agreeing to purchase our services, you acknowledge that L.A Writes has the right to seek reimbursement by charging the same payment method used to make the initial payment. Failure to repay the reimbursement will result in the termination of our services agreement.

HOLDS ON FUNDS
In the event that L.A Writes suspects any fraudulent activity or that a chargeback may be requested by a buyer, we retain the right to temporarily secure the funds in question to ensure that the payment is cleared. This decision is entirely within the discretion of L.A Writes.

AGE LIMIT
The writing services offered by L.A Writes are only available to individuals who are 16 years of age or older, or organizations that are controlled by individuals who are 16 years of age or older. If this policy is violated, the writing services agreement with L.A Writes will be terminated.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Upon completion and payment for a writing services project, the buyer will receive full ownership of the written content, including all rights, title, and worldwide interests in the intellectual property associated with the content.

LIABILITY OF L.A Writes
By making a purchase on the site, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that L.A Writes cannot be held responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages resulting from the completed writing services.
This means that L.A Writes assumes no liability for any difficulties or issues that may arise from the publishing of the content written or designed for the buyer.

GHOSTWRITING AND DISCLOSURES
When L.A Writes provides writing services to buyers who do not request their name to be credited as the author, it is considered “ghostwriting”. This means that the buyer has the option to use any name they desire (such as their own name, their company name, etc.) as the credited author in connection with the published content.
L.A Writes may occasionally provide writing samples to potential buyers to boost services, even though the content is ghostwritten. If you don’t want L.A Writes to share writing samples or reveal that they have worked with your company during negotiations or on their website, you agree to make an official request via email.

DISCLAIMERS, LIMITATIONS, AND EXCLUSIONS
1. Termination
At any time and for any reason, L.A Writes may terminate your use of this site or services for violating these Terms without notice.
Upon termination, you must destroy all content obtained from this site and all copies thereof. Despite termination of your use of the site, all other terms outlined in this document will remain valid and enforceable.

2. Warranty Disclaimer
